Overview

This course is a pathway, providing the learning and skills for students to apply to become a registered/licensed builder. Upon receiving registration, you'll be qualified to undertake roles such as foreman, site supervisor or site manager. You'll gain knowledge in all aspects of building and construction, including (but not limited to) creating and interpreting plans, labour and material schedules, contracts, site management, structural principles, and legal requirements. This is a great steppingstone to gaining your builder's licence!

Schedule

2025 Course Start Date: 11 Feb Days & Time: Tuesday & Thursday, evenings 6pm to 9pm.

On-campus classes: Trades Training Centre, 55 Moorefield Park Drive

Requirements

None, however we recommend that you have some relevant industry knowledge.

Assessment

Assessment is done both on-campus and online. The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. A range of assessment strategies to meet different student’s needs will be selected.

Certification

By successfully completing this course you will receive a nationally recognised AQF Qualification.

Fees

From 1 January 2019, Free TAFE for Priority Courses is a Victorian Government program that will pay your tuition fees to study in this selected course at Wodonga TAFE, if you’re eligible, subject to minimum numbers.
